Is this you?

When an inspection is worth it, and what it tells you.

Rusted plumbing vent boot on a shingle roof, a common leak spot

A leak, or a stain on the ceiling

A stain means water is already getting past the roof. The inspection finds where it’s coming in, which is often not right above the stain, and whether it’s a repair.

Weathered shingle roof around a dormer with a double window

A roof past 20 years

Architectural shingles usually last 20 to 30 years here. An inspection tells you how much life is left, so you can plan the replacement instead of reacting to a leak.

House roof covered with blue tarps after a storm, seen from above

After strong wind or hail

Lifted shingles and hail bruising are hard to see from the yard and often don’t leak right away. A look after the storm catches them early.

What we check

What happens at your inspection, step by step.

We listen first

What’s going on, what’s bothering you, and what you’re hoping to fix.

We inspect the roof, gutters, trim, and attic

Yes, the attic. Most of what a roof is telling you shows up on the underside of the decking first, and most companies never go up there.

We measure and photograph everything

Your roof is measured digitally with GAF’s measuring software. Then we walk you through the photos on a screen, so you see what we see.

You get your options and an exact price

In writing and itemized, before we leave. If you want to think about it, think about it.

Options

Three answers. All of them honest.

Every inspection ends one of three ways, and you’ll see the photos behind it. If your roof has ten good years left, we’ll tell you it has ten good years left, and we’ll leave.

Good news

Nothing needed

Your roof is sound

  • What we found No damage, and life left in it
  • What we recommend Nothing, and we’ll say so
  • In writing Photos of what we checked
  • Then Call us after the next big storm

Damage in one area

A repair

Fix one problem

  • What we found Damage in one area, sound roof
  • What we recommend Repair just that area
  • In writing Photos and an exact repair price
  • Then Your roof is sound again

End of its life

A replacement

A new roof, deck up

  • What we found Wear across the roof, or repeat leaks
  • What we recommend A full replacement
  • In writing Photos and an exact replacement price
  • Then A new roof, warranty in your name

Who should be there

If two of you decide, we ask that both of you be there.

This isn’t a sales tactic. We’ll walk through photos of your roof, colors, warranty coverage, and pricing, and it’s frustrating for one person to repeat all of that secondhand. It also means you get a real answer the same day, not a second appointment.

Know What Your Roof Needs

Free inspection. Photo documentation. Exact written price. No pressure.

How it works

How a job runs. No surprises, start to finish.

Five steps, each one in writing, so you always know what happens next and what you’ll have in hand.

The process From the first visit to the warranty papers

01

We inspect and measure.

On a roof we check the shingles, the flashing, the gutters and trim, and the layers at an edge, and we go into the attic every time. On siding we check the substrate, the grade clearance, and the windows.

02

You get an exact price, in writing.

Before we leave, itemized line by line. Hand it to another contractor: if they can’t match the lines, the totals aren’t the same job.

03

We protect the property first.

Plants, drives, and beds are covered before the first bundle comes off the truck.

04

Tear-off and dry-in happen the same day.

You see photos of the deck. Soft plywood is priced before we cover it. An open deck overnight is how a replacement becomes an interior claim.

05

We walk the job and register your warranty.

You get the photos and the paperwork, and on a roof we register your GAF warranty for you. Not a verbal promise from the driveway.

Cost & financing

What a roof costs, and how to pay for it.

A national average isn’t your house. Your price depends on the size and pitch of the roof, its valleys, dormers, chimneys, and skylights, how many layers come off, the decking underneath, and the shingle you choose. That’s why you get an exact number in writing before we leave, with every line on the page.

Roof cost range finder

What should a new roof cost around here?

Not a quote: a planning range from typical installed prices for a simple roof in Southeastern PA and northern Delaware. Valleys, dormers, chimneys, soft decking, and extra layers move the number, so we still come out and measure.

  • Financing

The applicable lender determines the terms associated with any financing offer available through the Finturf platform. Right & Precise provides access to the financing platform, but we don’t set lender rates, repayment terms, or approval decisions. Reviewing the lender’s information will help you understand the details connected with an available financing option.

Warranty

Covered three ways, all in writing.

GAF Silver Pledge™: backed by GAF.

The materials are covered for 50 years non-prorated, including labor, tear-off, and disposal. GAF also covers installation errors for 10 years, and backs the repair if a contractor can’t make it.

Our workmanship guarantee: on top of GAF’s.

Lasts 20 years, on top of GAF’s coverage. If something we did isn’t right, we come back and fix it, with no argument about whether it’s technically a covered defect.

Our satisfaction guarantee: how we treat your home.

Materials and labor are only part of the job. How we treat your home, your yard, your neighbors, and your time is the rest of it, and we guarantee that too.

FAQ

Questions about the inspection.

Still have a question?

Ask the people who’d do the work. Call 610.347.3000 in Pennsylvania or 302.302.2400 in Delaware.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Is a free inspection really free?

Yes. No fee, no obligation, no pressure, and you don’t have to decide that day. The written price is yours to keep either way.

Will I get a price the same day?

Yes. You’ll have an exact, itemized price in writing before we leave. We don’t need to “run it past the office” or mail you something next week.

Will you get up on the roof?

Yes, when it’s safe to walk. We check the roof from the roof itself, not from the street.

What if you don’t find anything?

Then we’ll tell you, and you’ll have the photos to show for it. A sound roof is a good answer, and we’d rather give it than sell you something you don’t need.

How do I get started?

Call us or fill out the form on this page. We’ll set a time that actually works for you.
