Start here
What’s going on with your house? Start with the problem, not the product.
Pick the one that sounds like your house, and we’ll point you to the right next step.

I have a leak
Water stains, drips, or missing shingles. We find the source, which is often flashing rather than shingles. If a repair is the right call, we’ll tell you, even though a replacement is worth more to us.

My roof is getting old
Curling shingles, bare granules in the valleys, or a roof past 20 to 25 years. Get an exact replacement price before we leave, and compare it line for line.

Storm damage
Wind, hail, or a fallen limb. We protect the house first, photograph the damage, and write the repair or replacement scope.

Siding or gutters
Vinyl, fiber cement, or engineered wood siding, plus gutter installation, replacement, and cleaning, sequenced with your roof so the flashing lands in the right order.
Why Right & Precise
Built by people who left the big remodelers.
We spent years inside large national remodelers and came away convinced homeowners deserve better, with clearer pricing, better installations, and a company that actually answers the phone after the check clears. So we built one. Right & Precise is locally owned, not private equity, so your price pays for the crew, the materials, and the work.
The lowest bid is often a different job. We put every line on the page so you can tell the difference.

What to compare on two roofing bids
Same roof. Two very different bids.
Put them side by side. When one quote is thousands less than another, something got left out. These seven lines usually show where.

Roofing
A roof replacement you can compare line for line.
Measured, not guessed
We measure your roof digitally with GAF’s measuring software, so the squares on your price aren’t a guess.
Read moreShow less about measuring
The scope names the squares (a square is 100 square feet of roof), the layers we’ll tear off, the underlayment, and the shingle line. If another bid can’t match those lines, it isn’t the same job.
The old roof comes off down to the deck
We strip the roof down to the deck (the plywood boards under the shingles) and send you photos before we cover anything.
Read moreShow less about removing the old roof
Soft plywood is replaced only after you see it and approve the sheet. Ice and water shield (a membrane that seals itself and stops water at the edges and valleys) goes at the eaves, in the valleys, along the ridge, and around chimneys, pipes, and skylights, with intake ventilation that matches the ridge exhaust.
Flashing is part of the roof
Flashing isn’t an extra.
Read moreShow less about flashing
Step flashing at a sidewall is woven in with the shingles, and kickout flashing (a small bent piece of metal that sends water away from the wall where a roof edge meets it) carries water past the siding. We don’t caulk that joint and call it finished.

Siding & gutters
The right wall for your house, and gutters to protect it.
Vinyl, fiber cement, or engineered wood, installed to the manufacturer’s specs and planned with your gutters so water goes where it should.

Vinyl
Vinyl is the choice that needs the least upkeep when you want a clean wall and never want to paint again. We leave room in the nailing slot so each panel can expand and contract with the weather. A vinyl wall nailed tight buckles in the first hot week.

Fiber cement
Fiber cement is for a wall that outlasts several paint cycles, or where fire resistance matters. Every board is cut, sealed, and fastened to the manufacturer’s specs. The product is named on your scope, so the warranty you read is the warranty you get.

Engineered wood
Engineered wood gives you the look of real wood with more strength and less upkeep than cedar. It has to stay clear of soil and mulch, and every cut end is sealed before it goes up. Installed that way, it holds its paint and its shape.

Gutters
Seamless 5- and 6-inch gutters in heavy .032-gauge aluminum, formed on site to the length of each run. And here’s something most contractors won’t tell you. We don’t sell gutter guards. A clogged guard looks fine right up until your basement gets wet. A gutter sized to pass debris, cleaned when it needs it, just works.

How it works
How a job runs. No surprises, start to finish.
Five steps, each one in writing, so you always know what happens next and what you’ll have in hand.
The process From the first visit to the warranty papers
01
We inspect and measure.
On a roof we check the shingles, the flashing, the gutters and trim, and the layers at an edge, and we go into the attic every time. On siding we check the substrate, the grade clearance, and the windows.
02
You get an exact price, in writing.
Before we leave, itemized line by line. Hand it to another contractor. If they can’t match the lines, the totals aren’t the same job.
03
We protect the property first.
Plants, drives, and beds are covered before the first bundle comes off the truck.
04
We remove the old roof and dry in on the same day.
You see photos of the deck. Soft plywood is priced before we cover it. An open deck overnight is how a replacement becomes an interior claim.
05
We walk the job and register your warranty.
You get the photos and the paperwork, and on a roof we register your GAF warranty for you. Not a verbal promise from the driveway.
Cost & financing
What a roof costs, and how to pay for it.
A national average isn’t your house. Your price depends on the size and pitch of the roof, its valleys, dormers, chimneys, and skylights, how many layers come off, the decking underneath, and the shingle you choose. That’s why you get an exact number in writing before we leave, with every line on the page.
Roof cost range finder
What should a new roof cost around here?
This is not a quote. It is a planning range from typical installed prices for a simple roof in Southeastern PA and northern Delaware. Valleys, dormers, chimneys, soft decking, and extra layers move the number, so we still come out and measure.
Planning range
Includes removing one layer of old shingles and hauling it away. Does not include deck replacement we can only see once the old roof is off.

Financing
The applicable lender determines the terms associated with any financing offer available through the Finturf platform. Right & Precise provides access to the financing platform, but we don’t set lender rates, repayment terms, or approval decisions. Reviewing the lender’s information will help you understand the details connected with an available financing option.
Warranty
Covered three ways, all in writing.
GAF Silver Pledge™ is backed by GAF.
The materials are covered for 50 years non-prorated, including labor, removal of the old roof, and disposal. GAF also covers installation errors for 10 years, and backs the repair if a contractor can’t make it.
Our workmanship guarantee goes on top of GAF’s.
Lasts 20 years, on top of GAF’s coverage. If something we did isn’t right, we come back and fix it, with no argument about whether it’s technically a covered defect.
Our satisfaction guarantee covers how we treat your home.
Materials and labor are only part of the job. How we treat your home, your yard, your neighbors, and your time is the rest of it, and we guarantee that too.

FAQ
Straight answers before you book.

Still have a question?
Ask the people who’d do the work. Call 610.347.3000 in Pennsylvania or 302.302.2400 in Delaware.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
What happens during the free inspection?
Plan on 60 to 90 minutes. We listen first. Then we inspect the roof, gutters, trim, and attic, because most of what a roof is telling you shows up on the underside of the deck first. We photograph everything, walk you through it on a screen, and give you your options and an exact price in writing before we leave. No pressure. If you want to think about it, think about it.
How much does a new roof cost?
The straight answer is that it depends on your roof, and a national average won’t tell you much. Your price depends on the size and pitch of your roof, its valleys, dormers, chimneys, and skylights, how many layers come off, the decking underneath, and the shingle you choose. That’s why you get an exact number, not a range, before we leave.
Do you do repairs, or only full replacements?
Both. If a repair is the right call, we’ll tell you, even though a replacement is worth more to us. That’s Do Right. What we won’t do is sell you a patch on a failing roof that’s 22 years old, because that’s just charging you twice.
What warranty comes with my roof?
Your roof is covered three ways, with the GAF Silver Pledge™ Limited Warranty on materials and installation, our own workmanship guarantee on top of it for 20 years, and our satisfaction guarantee. We register the GAF warranty for you. See how the warranties work.
Someone knocked on my door. Was that really you?
Probably. We knock on doors in neighborhoods where we’re working, and here’s how to know it’s us. Our team wears branded uniforms and carries photo ID, and they’ll never ask to come inside or take payment at the door. Not sure? Don’t open the door. Call 610.347.3000 or 302.302.2400 and we’ll confirm on the spot. Not interested? Tell them. They’ll thank you and move on.
